Tweba Hashtags #ihave , #tweba and #iwant

One of the main new features that we has been added to Tweba in the last few days is Twitter Hashtags. Tweba can now automatically pull listings that are mentioned on Twitter that are tagged with various hashtags. Tweba automatically monitors Twitter for #ihave , #tweba and #iwant and lists them in the Marketplace. The listing is placed on show for 7 days and auto tweets back letting everyone know on Twitter that a listing has been placed in the Marketplace.

Any listing that has been added from Twitter, when viewing the listing changes its display so that buyers can connect directly on Twitter by answering the advert on Tweba.

Facebook Connect

Tweba now allows anyone on Facebook to also use the Tweba Marketplace so you no longer need to create a Twitter account before using Tweba. If you have a facebook account then you can use this in a similar way that Twitter Sign In works. If you don’t have a Twitter or Facebook account then not to worry, you can use the Tweba Signup and Login process but you will have to give us your email address.

So Whats New

Over the last few days we have been pretty busy with Tweba in putting new features live and fixing a few things that we noticed needed a bit of attention. We have take feedback and based on demand and what people seem to want we have implemented and finally put live quite a number of things.

The biggest change we have made is to the way that people create and login to Tweba. We have done away with the pesky passcodes that seemed totrouble so many people and replaced it with Twitter Sign In, Facebook Connect and our own signin system. So What does this mean. Well Twitter Sign In means that you no longer need the passcode, you can now click the sign in button on Tweba and we now use Twitter to make sure its you.  Pretty cool.

We have also opened up Tweba to Facebook so you no longer need to create a Twitter account before using Tweba. If you have a facebook account then you can use this in a similar way that Twitter Sign In works. If you don’t have a Twitter or Facebook account then not to worry, you can use the Tweba Signup and Login process but you will have to give us your email address.

One thing to note is that each account is treated seperately on Tweba so if you sign in with Twitter on one day and Facebook another, you will have 2 Tweba accounts so be careful.

We have also taken alot of useability feedback so now when you login you should be presented with a more friendly welcome page to help get you started.

Abig one for us is imports. To get started onTweba quickly you can either upload a file with all your listings in it or you can import them from other sites. Importing listings will currently create a link to the listing on the other site so Tweba can help promote your listings automatically for you. Cool hey.

Over the next few days we are also launching Tweba Stores which will be available for those sellers that put a certain amount of listings through the site.

We are constantly adapting and taking feedback to make Tweba a better place to buy and sell so as always keep the feedback coming and we will keep adding.

Tweba Syntax Language

If many of you know or dont know, Tweba has its own built in reserved language syntax so anything that you do with a form, you can do through Tweba Syntax.

For example if you want to Bid on an item then you can either use the traditional route of clicking Bid on the listing or if you know the nice id of the listing which is always found in the Bolded Brackets eg (1) then you can bid directly on the item in Tweba Syntax. Bidding on an item is as easy as going Bid 1.

A full list of all Tweba syntax can be found on the tweba help page Tweba Help Page but here is a list of a few of the most popular ones.

View 1 - Would View listing 1

Bid 1 - Would bid on listing 1>br>
Watch 1 - Would place a watch on listing 1

We have also included various hidden commands or easter eggs as they are liked to be called in Tweba syntax so happy hunting.

So whats new

We have been pretty busy at Tweba HQ over the last few months with the new version of the site. So i hear you ask, exactly whats new in Tweba. Well Tweba v2 as we like to call it was a total change to the way that Tweba functionally works, taking the concept right back to the start and working it back up. This time we recon we might have cracked it and have a platform that hopefully will become a pretty cool marketplace for buying and selling.

We have literally rewrote Tweba from the ground up and made a lot of conceptual changes to the way Tweba works. Everything now is now like a twitter feed so if you buy and sell, etc they are subsets of the main feed. Every event on Tweba posts to the timeline and then the system decides where the message needs to be visible. ie: (If its a Listing, it shows it in the public stream where as if its a bid then it shows it in the buyers Buying Stream and in the Sellers selling stream). This method makes Tweba pretty much like the twitter for buying and selling in its own right.

As well as the traditional buying and selling, you can put requests on Tweba (asks) and then sellers can offer their items to the requesters again with Tweba managing the whole process. Members can also put linked listings where they link to other listings they have on the internet so they now have a true central place on the internet where they can buy and sell.

Sellers can also add more detail to the listing so they aren’t binded by the 240 character limitation we put on the system last time as once the listing has been posted they can enhance it. Sellers can also upload more than one photo which was a big thing people wanted.

Tweba also intergrates ping.fm so sellers can promote their listings in over 30+ social networks on the internet aswell as the standard Twitter which was the only one we had last time.

Members can customise their store from changing their background to custom css again a major improvement over version 1.

Over the next few days we are adding more features big one intergrating with google base and also custom store fronts.  We are also releasing an API so people can create tools around the Tweba feeds.

I really hope you all like Tweba and we really love feedback and ideas. We promise to make Tweba your marketplace and hopefully the coolest place around.

What Is Tweba?

Tweba allows you to buy, sell, link and ask for stuff easily for Free, taking away the complexity of the process. Listing or asking for an item on Tweba is totally free.

Everything you do in Tweba becomes part of a feed whether you buy, sell, ask, etc. So what does this mean? Tweba becomes the one place where you buy and sell on the internet. No longer do you have to give out your Ebay Store, Bonanzle Store, Tweba Listings, etc…. You simply show everyone your Tweba feed and then they can choose where to buy your stuff from. a central place for all your needs.

Tweba also allows as well as standard buying and selling but also new ways to get stuff. On Tweba you can also Ask for something and then a seller can make you an offer by uploading a description and photo, etc of their item. You can then acceptor reject it. Cool Hey.
